DIAGNOSIS:
A) Testis and spermatic cord,(right) , radical orchiectomy:
-SEMINOMA
2.9 X 2.5 X 2.4 CM, TESTIS
With 1) invasion into epididymis (pT2)
2) lymphovascular invasion : not identified
3) clear spermatic cord, skin, and external resection margins
- GERM CELL NEOPLASIA IN SITU: PRESENT (pTis).
- Epididymis, no diagnostic abnormalities.
NOTE:
Please refer to the result(s) of the immunohistocheminal / histocheminal staining below.
*CD117 : positive
*OCT-3/4 : positive
GROSS:
A. 1. Specimen status: Formalin fixed
2. Procedure: Radical orchiectomy
3. Specimen: Right testis (5.6 x 3.8 x 3.6 cm)
And spermatic cord ( 9.3 cm in length and 1.5 cm in diameter );45 gm in toto
4. Lesion:
An ill-defined, ovoid mass (2.9 x 2.5 x 2.4 cm) in testis
-Cut surface : bright tan , solid , firm , fibrotic
- confinement within testis
-No involvement of rete testis , epididymis , and spermatic cord
5. Resection margins : Not involved
(safety margin : spermatic cord , 11.1 cm; external, 0.2 cm)
